On 09 October 2014, Ibu Yayus Mak was invited to represent the Indonesian community in Thailand in the post-presidential election evaluation process conducted by the Indonesia’s General Elections Commission (Komisi Pemilihan Umum or KPU) in the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia.

The goals of the program were to assess the overall result of Indonesian’s presidential election process abroad; measure the involvement level of citizens, local government, and external stakeholders; and further support free and fair elections in the future by improving citizens’ ability to engage effectively in the electoral process through enhanced capacity of media and civil society.
